We’re back like we never left. By popular demand, the Walk and Talks that shaped us, healed us, and brought us closer are returning with a whole new vibe on Saturdays at 9 AM ET, starting on August 17th, 2024.
We’re calling it The Liberation Line because our conversations have been the catalyst for so many women’s awakening and for some much-needed change on the ground. This time, it’s urgent. The world needs us. Black women are hungry for strategies, solutions, and spaces to share, celebrate, and uplift. That’s why we’re uniting on The Liberation Line, a lifeline for Black women everywhere.
Q1. What is The Liberation Line?
The Liberation Line is our revamped version of the Walk and Talks, a space where Black women unite to strategize, mobilize, and build solidarity, sharing strategies and solutions to uplift and celebrate our community.
Q2. When do the calls take place?
We begin our first walk at 9 AM ET on Saturday, August 17th. (6 AM PT for the Westside and the afternoon for The Motherland.) Saturday morning walk-and-talks will continue through mid-October.
Q3. How do I join the call?
Dial the number we have used for many years: (646) 876-9923 (Meeting ID: 734464325#).
A couple of weeks ago, we announced a new number for our Saturday calls, but that number would only allow us to get 1,000 of you on the line, and that wasn't going to work for our growing movement.
Q4. How long does the Liberation Line call last?
The calls are 30 minutes long. From your starting point, walk 15 minutes out and 15 minutes back.
Q5. How can I add the call to my calendar?
We've got you! Use one of these links to add the call to your calendar so you don't forget: Apple Google Office 365 Outlook Outlook.com
Q6. What should I do to prepare for the calls?
Save the number in your phone: (646) 876-9923 (Meeting ID: 734464325#). Spread the word among your crew, and think of topics or testimonies you’d like to share. Be ready to engage in meaningful conversations and connect with fellow sisters.
Q7. Can I share the call details with my friends and family?
Yes, please share the details with anyone who would benefit from joining the call. We welcome all Black women who are interested in joining the conversation.
